探究一:awake的用法
awake形容词,意为“ ”。awake是表语形容词,不能作 语。其反义词为 。

探究二:...they run over with excitement and some of them even walk into their friends and fall over!它们兴奋地跑过去,其中几个甚至撞上自己的朋友而跌倒!
①run over意为“ ”,其中over为副词,表示“从……的一边到另一边;穿越”。

探究三:die from与die of的辨析
①die from指由于 而死,原因常来自外部,后常接名词。
His father died from an accident.他父亲死于一次事故。
②die of指死于 等,原因多来自内部,后接名词。
He died of a strange illness.他死于一种怪病。
注意:教材中所用的die from illnesses,illness用的是复数,说明是相关的所有疾病或突发性的原因等等,故使用了die from。
