that引导的定语从句
一、定语从句的定义
在复合句中充当定语的从句叫作定语从句。定语从句回般放在它所修饰的名词或代词之后。
二、定语从句的关系词
引导定语从句的关系词有关系代词和关系副词。常见的关系代词有that, which,who(宾格whom,所有格 whose)等;关系副词有 where,when等。关系代词和关系副词放在先行词及定语从句之间,起连接作用,同时又在定语从句中充当成分。
三、定语从句的结构
被定语从句修饰的词叫先行词,关系词一般跟在先行词之后,引导定语从句。关系代词或关系副词在先行词和定语从句之间起纽带作用,且在从句中充当成分。关系代词在从句中可作主语、宾语或定语,关系副词在从句中作状语。
  ★ I am waiting for the boy that is wearing a blue coat.(关系代词作主语)我正在等那个穿着蓝色外套的男孩。

四、that引导的定语从句
that引导定语从句时,可以指物,也可指人,在从句中作主语或宾语。that在定语从句中作宾语时,常可省略。
