Animals have a lot of valuable lessons to teach us, and if we listen carefully we can learn how to use these lessons in our own lives. From forgiveness(原谅) and generosity(慷慨) to trust and unconditional love, animals are truly inspirational role models who, when given a chance, can enrich our own understanding of life and provide us with a promise of what is possible.
I'm a huge fan of animals, of all kinds. The other day I was thinking about how humans can learn a lot from our friends in the animal kingdom. So I began to look into all the different animals. It became clear that animals are used quite often as metaphors(隐喻) to explain important lessons, both positive and negative.
There are so many spiritual lessons we can learn from eagles(鹰)! Eagles are known for soaring(翱翔) proudly, high in the sky. Instead of flapping(拍打) their wings and using their own energy, they use winds to glide and soar.
Eagles are honest to their mate and babies. Did you know that eagles mate for life? Another interesting feature(特征) of the eagle is that—unlike other birds—they are unafraid of storms. Instead of hiding in fear, the eagle uses the storm to be lifted up high, above the clouds.
For most of us, the “storms” of life are not fun. Trials(考验) and difficult times can cause us to want to hide. Eagles inspire us to think of storms in a different way. To trust and remember that trials and “storms” make us stronger and braver, if we learn from them.

A mouse was surprised to discover that the farmer and his wife had a mousetrap(老鼠夹)in the house. It ran to warn everyone, “There is a mousetrap in the house!”
A hen raised her head and said, “Mr. Mouse, this mousetrap is only for you. I won't be worried about it.”The mouse turned to a pig.“I am sorry, Mr. Mouse, but the mousetrap has nothing to do with me, either!” the pig said. Then the mouse turned to a cow. “It sounds like you have a problem, not me,” the cow said. The mouse returned to the house with head down and it was very sad because no one would help.
That night the farmer's wife heard a loud sound and she rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness she could not see that it was a snake. The snake bit(咬) the farmer's wife. The wife caught a bad fever and the farmer thought the best way to treat a fever was chicken soup. So the farmer killed the hen for the soup. The wife got worse and her friends came to visit her. The farmer had to kill the pig to feed them. But the wife didn't get better and died. Her friends came and the farmer had to kill the cow to feed all of them.
