You might be surprised to know that you only use 5 to 10 percent of your brain's capacity(容量). 1.    

And scientific research has actually found better ways for you to remember what you have studied. 

Dr. Robert A. Bjork, a psychologist(心理学家) at the University of California, the USA, says that instead of sitting at the same desk while studying, it's better to change rooms sometimes. His research says our minds connect what we are studying with things around us. 2.      

Have you ever played a sport or musical instrument?You won't just do the same drill(练习) over and over again. You usually practice many different drills to get different skills. It's helpful to use the same idea while studying.

Bjork's research suggests you try learning more kinds of subjects in a study session instead of just one. 3.    

Two psychologists say that taking notes by hand is better than on a computer. Scientific research says that writing down how you will understand it later helps you remember concepts(概念). 4.      

Have you tried studying a lot the night before the test?We usually call it cramming(恶补). Scientists say that is not the best idea. 5.     This helps you remember it longer.

You often focus on building relationships with others, but you forget the first step:being a friend of yourself.How can you have good relationships with others if you don't even have a good relationship with yourself? Here are some tips for you to be a friend of yourself.

  Forgive yourself. 1.     It's normal to make mistakes, so do yourself a favor by giving yourself forgiveness. 

2.     There are some things you can not change, such as your background and your past. So learn to accept them, smile and move on. 

  Focus on your strengths. Instead of focusing on your weaknesses,focus on your strengths. Recognize your strengths and build your life around them.

3.     One reason you may not like yourselves is that you are too focused on what you don't have and forget about what you have. So write your success stories. They do not have to be big things; there are a lot of small but important achievements in your life. 

Stop comparing yourself with others. The way you measure your success is not determined by other people.

4.     So it's useless to compare yourself with others.
