B [2020·原创]

AI has been the subject of many creative works. 1 the AI that we see in books and movies is quite different from that which we see in our daily lives.

AI’s first appearance in fiction was in Erewhon, a novel by English writer Samuel Butler. In this novel 2 in 1872, the citizens of the country of Erewhon do not allow anyone 3 machines, as they fear that the machines could become more powerful than man.

In fact, this kind of AI rebellion(反叛) is a(n) 4 theme in fiction. In Stanley Kubrick’s classic film 2001: A Space Odyssey, an intelligent computer turns 5 all the people on a spaceship. And in the Terminator film series, an AI network called Skynet that 6 for national defense(防护) decides to start a nuclear() war in order to end mankind.

But in other works of fiction, AI is more 7 to humans. US author Isaac Asimov, one of the greatest sci-fi writers in history, often wrote about AI. He created what we know as the Three Laws of Robotics. These laws are designed to prevent intelligent robots from 8 humans. The laws have even influenced real-life discussions about the ethics(准则) of AI.

And of course, there are new 9 of fiction featuring AI that are coming out all the time. Our fascination(迷恋) with machines that can think, feel and act is seemingly endless. It will be interesting to see 10 the AI of the fictional world will ever become the AI of the real world.
