探究一:whole与all 辨析
(1)whole与all都可用在表示整体的 (单数/复数)名词之前,但位置不同。结构为“限定词+ +单数名词”和“ +限定词+单数名词”。
the whole day=all the day一整天
(2)all与whole后都可加复数名词,结构分别为“ +限定词+复数名词”和“the +of+the+复数名词”。
all the students=the whole of the students所有的学生/全体学生
(3) 一般不能修饰物质名词。修饰复数名词时,其前一般有数量词,而 能用于各种情况。
all the water(不能说the whole water)所有的水
探究二:lead的用法
(1)lead sb.to someplace 意为“ ”。
Can you lead us to the zoo?你能带领我们去动物园吗?
(2)lead to意为“ ”。
All roads lead to Rome.条条大路通罗马。
探究三:voice,sound与noise的区别
意为“声音”,一般指人(说话、唱歌、谈笑)的声音。 可指人或动物发出的声音,或物体碰撞的声音。泛指大自然的任何“声音”。 常指不悦耳、不和谐的嘈杂声,既可作可数名词,也可作不可数名词。
