一、教学目标（知识、技能、策略、情感、文化）
1. 学生能在语境下理解、辨认并运用单词research, baby, scientist, produce, southwest, in order to , government等。
2. 学生能够读懂有关濒危动物现状的文章，明白文章的主旨大意和谋篇布局。
3、学生能够借助段落标题和表格等把握文章的大意，获取文章主旨。
4、学生能够根据表格、思维导图等框架信息，复述课文。
5、学生能够掌握长句子的停顿和语音语调。
6、学生能够模仿课文的写作形式，写一篇介绍某种濒危动物现状的短文。
7、通过学习短文，学生能提高保护动物的自觉性。
二、教学过程
核心环节1 Expect （目标期盼）
展示熊猫图片，导入本课话题
T: Can you say something about the panda?
S1: Pandas eat bamboo and they like climbing trees……
S2: Pandas are in danger.
T: Can you guess why pandas are in danger?
S: Maybe there isn’t enough bamboo…….
T: now there is a passage about pandas in danger. Read and check if you guess right.
[设计意图] 通过展示组图，激活学生已有的关于大熊猫的背景知识，通过教师提问，学生可预测文章内容，激发学生学习兴趣，帮助学生快速进入文本阅读。
核心环节2 Experience （语言体验）
1. 教师引导学生快速默读，寻找答案。

[设计意图] 本环节让学生快速阅读课文，学生带着问题获取特定信息，激发学生全面理解文章细节的欲望，同时培养学生的阅读技巧，有助于提升学生的能力。
2．点读全文，学生阅读，匹配段落大意。帮助学生了解全文框架结构。

[设计意图] 学生借助段落标题，把握文章段落大意，可使学生快速掌握文章的结构。同时可培养学生的阅读能力，学生可从整体上感知全文，并为下一个环节做好铺垫。
3.点读文章前两段，学生跟读模仿，帮助学生明确段落框架，完成思维导图。
