一、教学目标
1. 语言知识目标
⑴词汇：学会使用hill, population, wide, million ,than, north 等
⑵短语：理解并学会使用pretty good
⑶语法：了解并熟练掌握形容词的比较级。

（1）能够听懂介绍祖国和家乡的对话。
(2) 能够比较两个地方的不同，并与同学进行多轮对话

I.话题背景激活 有效预测大意
Step 1 Warming up
At the beginning of the lesson, teacher asks the students to talk about Hong Kong and Shanghai according to the pictures
【设计意图】: 通过谈论图片，激活学生已有的关于描述事物的形容词。
Step2 （1） Listen and complete the sentences
【设计意图】: 培养学生对主题的关注能力和获取细节信息的能力。
(2) Make a comparison between Shanghai and Hong Kong
Compare Shanghai and Hong Kong according to the information on the screen.
【设计意图】: 通过对两个地点的比较，是学生感知比较级的用法
Step 3 Listen and read
（1） Listen and answer the questions
1. Which city are they talking about?
2. What famous building does it have
【设计意图】: 培养学生获取具体信息的能力。
（2） Listen and repeat
【设计意图】:听并模仿语音语调，让学生逐步熟悉并掌握较集中的语调。
（3） Read in groups
【设计意图】创设虚拟的生活交际情景，可以培养学生的语言运用能力，让他们在浓厚的语言氛围中积极、主动、创造性地活学活用书本知识，达到扎实、牢固地掌握所学知识的教学目的。
