         Words and expressions: dear, student, thing, term, busy, time, there, next month.
       2. Master some useful sentences.       
         (1) We have some interesting and fun things for you this term.
         (2) On September 21st, we have a school trip in the afternoon.
         (3) This is a really busy term!
         (4) Have a good time!
         (5) What (other) activities do you like?

Talk about activities and the date.

     A tape recorder, a projector and handouts.

【教学过程】
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greet students as usual and check the homework.
       2. Review the following sentences.
        (1) When is your birthday?
        (2) When is your father’s birthday?
        (3) When is your best friend’s birthday?
       3. Revision: Review the numbers by playing the game, I say ''one'', you say ''first".
Step 2: Presentation
    1. Teach activity 2a
(1) Ask students to read the activities in the box and check the activities they have in school.
       (2) Ask students to discuss and make their own conversations.
       (3) Give students an example.
         A: Do you school have soccer game every year?
         B: Yes, of course.
         A: When is it ?
         B: It's on May 6th.
      (4) Invite some pairs to act out their conversations.
 2. Teach activity 2b
   (1) Ask students to read the passage quickly and know the rough meaning of it.
      (2) Ask students to read the passage again and list the activities and the dates.
      (3) Check the correct answers to the class.
      (4) Explain some important language points.
