         Words and expressions: ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fifteen, eighteen, twenty, thirty, buy , sell.
        2. Master some useful sentence structures.
            ?—How much is the white bag?
              —It’s seventeen dollars.
            ?—How much are these green sweaters?
              —They are only $12!
   难点
 Ask and answer about buying things.

     A tape recorder, a projector and handouts.
【教学方法】
任务型教学法、情景交际法、自主学习与合作学习相结合
【课时安排】
     One period
【教学过程】
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greet students as usual and check the homework.
        2. Review what we have learned in the last period.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Teach activity 1a
 (1) Ask students to listen and repeat.
       (2) Ask students to read the numbers themselves and try to recite.
       (3) Check whether students have mastered these numbers.
2. Teach activity 1b
(1) Lead students to read the instructions and make sure they know what to do.
      (2) Ask students to write the numbers in 1a next to the correct words and check which row of numbers are in the wrong places.
      (3) Invite students to give their answers and tell why.
      (4) Check the correct answers with the class.
Step 3: Practice
 1. Teach activity 1c
 (1) Ask students to listen to a tape and circle the numbers they hear in 1a.
      (2) Invite some students to tell their answers.
      (3) Check the correct answers with the whole class and find out about which numbers students make more mistakes.
      (4) Correct the mistakes and Ask students to remember them.
 2. Teach activity 1d
 (1) Ask students to listen to a tape and circle the things in the pictures that Kate and her mom talk about.
      (2) Play the recording for the first time and students circle the things.
      (3) Check the correct answers with the class.
      (4) Ask students to listen again and check the things Kate buys.
      (5) Check the correct answers with the class.
