Xia Da, a beautiful Chinese cartoon artist, has become popular all over Asia, especially in Japan and China, thanks to her Chinese cartoon works.
Born on April 4, 1981 in Hunan, Xia Da’s pen name is “April”. She began drawing and publishing her work when she was in high school. Her comic Zi Bu Yu was awarded the gold medal in the 5th Golden Dragon Award. It appeared in the top Japanese cartoon magazine Ultra Jump. The work is the first original cartoon created by a Chinese artist entered the Japanese market successfully.
